We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team in the Emergency Room (ER) of our hospital. As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing medication management services to patients in the ER.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing medication orders and patient histories to ensure safe and effective medication use
- Collaborating with healthcare providers to develop and implement medication therapy plans
- Monitoring patient response to medication therapy and adjusting treatment as necessary
- Providing drug information and education to healthcare providers, patients, and their families
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to medication use
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives related to medication management
Skills:
- Strong clinical knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics
- Ability to interpret laboratory data and other diagnostic tests
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex drug information in a clear and concise manner
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Active pharmacist license in the state where the position is located
- Completion of a pharmacy residency program is preferred but not required
