Personal Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to create a nurturing environment for clients. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for those we serve, including individuals with developmental disabilities and dementia.

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
  
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
  
• Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  
• Maintain accurate records of patient care and report any changes in client condition to healthcare professionals.
  
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information.
  
• Support clients in their home health needs, including light housekeeping tasks as required.
  
• Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans tailored to individual needs.
  

• Previous experience in patient care or a related field is preferred.
  
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
  
• Experience in assisted living environments or home health settings is a plus.
  
• Familiarity with dementia care techniques and working with individuals on the autism spectrum or with developmental disabilities is desirable.
  
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
