Qualifications:


· Current RN license by State Board of Nursing in state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing


· Must have at least three years nursing experience and one year supervisory experience


· Must hold an active CPR or ability to obtain within the first 30-days of hire; CPR must remain active and current throughout employment

Responsibilities:


· The ADNS assists in managing the department of nursing and


· assumes responsibility delegated by the Director of Nursing Services (DNS)


· Assist in interviewing applicants and recommend hiring of staff and scheduling


· Participate in orientation and in-service education training


· Participate in performance reviews and personnel files; enforce the personnel policies of the community, including disciplining and terminating care team members


· Assist DNS in ensuring compliance with regulations for documentation from physicians and nursing personnel and ensuring that all regional policies/procedures are implemented


· Assist with care planning process


· Make rounds daily to direct the work of care team members and to observe for hazards, work duty problems, and ensure services are delivered to clients consistent with needs


· Assist with Continuous Quality Improvement and corrective follow-up actions


· Follow up daily on each unit to ensure changes in status are reported and recorded and that services are provided


· Under the direction of the DNS, complete chart audits and report results and progress, and makes recommendations for improvement to the DNS


· Ensure proper infection control techniques are utilized


· Maintain effective communication with families, residents and community staff
