Position Summary & Responsibilities*
This position conducts risk/needs assessments for men at EDCF.
Conducts risk/needs assessments with male offenders entering the KDOC as directed. This includes the LSIR, LS/CMI or other assessments as assigned. This includes conducting an interview; doing collateral checks and research; entering detailed notes to reflect the basis for the rating; and other information gathering and reporting as required.
Participate in ongoing capacity building with team members/colleagues, including observation, feedback, and booster sessions, to support self and fellow assessors in delivering robust fidelity-based assessments. Also participate in training and coaching others as directed.
Track data as directed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications*
One year of experience in planning, implementing, and monitoring activities relevant to the agency’s programs. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency
Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in criminal justice, the social sciences, or the behavioral sciences, and six (6) months of experience working with offenders in corrections, parole, or law enforcement Or 60 semester hours of college credit, and one (1) year of experience working with programs serving offenders or other high risk/need population.
