This position will be located at our El Dorado Correctional Facility, in Butler County.

Starting salary for this position:

$46,092.80/Annual _($22.16/Hourly)_



Offered salary will be determined by experience, qualifications, and skill set that the candidate brings to the position. Though this position is unclassified, the posted starting salary is equivalent to classified Pay Grade 28, step 6. Please contact Recruitment Coordinator for further details.

Position Summary & Responsibilities*

Position Summary:

This position conducts risk/needs assessments for men at EDCF.


Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Conducts risk/needs assessments with male offenders entering the KDOC as directed. This includes the LSIR, LS/CMI or other assessments as assigned. This includes conducting an interview; doing collateral checks and research; entering detailed notes to reflect the basis for the rating; and other information gathering and reporting as required.


Participate in ongoing capacity building with team members/colleagues, including observation, feedback, and booster sessions, to support self and fellow assessors in delivering robust fidelity-based assessments. Also participate in training and coaching others as directed.


Track data as directed.


Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications*

Minimum Qualifications

One year of experience in planning, implementing, and monitoring activities relevant to the agency’s programs. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency


Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in criminal justice, the social sciences, or the behavioral sciences, and six (6) months of experience working with offenders in corrections, parole, or law enforcement Or 60 semester hours of college credit, and one (1) year of experience working with programs serving offenders or other high risk/need population.


  • 2 years experience working with adult or juvenile felons.
  • 2 years experience in case management work including conducting risk/needs assessments.
  • 2 years experience in preparing reports, including collecting and translating data.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills


Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Must pass a criminal history records check.
