Hours per week: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:15am- 4:45pm
Position Summary: The Patient Scheduler accurately records patient information, prevent double-bookings, and route patient calls to the correct department or individual. The Patient Scheduler position requires close attention to detail, impeccable phone etiquette, and working knowledge of common medical terminology.
Responsibilities:
Promptly and professionally answer telephone calls, route calls appropriately, or redirect as needed.
Greet patients and visitors while providing assistance in a pleasant and friendly manner. Direct to the appropriate greeting areas. Screen visitors for solicitation.
Schedule patient appointments accurately accordingly guidelines as well as policy and procedures. Maintain follow up and wait lists as appropriate.
Completes assigned tasks in a timely and thorough manner.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
Required: 1 year of working experience in a medical office/environment.
Required: 2-3 years of experience of as a phone receptionist.
Call Center experience is a required, 2- 3 years is preferred.
Strong customer service skills.
Comfortability with multi-tasking with close attention to detail.
Friendly, out-going, team-player attitude.
Comfortable with learning new software systems.
