Summary
Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the Patient Safety Attendant is responsible for providing 1:1 monitoring with continuous visual observation (either in-person or on a video monitor) for adult or pediatric behavioral health patients or patients at risk for suicide.
The role will focus on observing for changes in the patient's condition and notifying nursing staff when necessary.
The Patient Safety Attendant 1 will be able to demonstrate:* Good communication, listening and observation skills.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
Certification, Registration & Licensure
None
Experience
Demonstrates ability to perform as a team member and effective communicator.
Must be 18 Years of age or older
Responsibilities* Communicates with patients and significant others in a respectful manner.
