We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Patient Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Provide support to nursing staff by preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and needs.
  • Assist in transporting patients within the facility as needed.
  • Document patient information accurately in medical records.
  • Support patients with mobility challenges and assist with rehabilitation exercises when applicable.


Qualifications


  • Previous experience in caregiving or patient assistance roles is preferred, especially in settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, or pediatrics.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous for effective communication within the healthcare team.
  • Experience or training in dementia care is a plus for those working with elderly patients.
  • Knowledge of emergency medicine or critical care practices is beneficial for providing comprehensive support.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments like ICU settings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with children and adults alike.
  • A compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
