Patient Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Patient Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and pediatric facilities. • Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
  
• Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  
• Provide support to nursing staff by preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
  
• Help maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
  
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and needs.
  
• Assist in transporting patients within the facility as needed.
  
• Document patient information accurately in medical records.
  
• Support patients with mobility challenges and assist with rehabilitation exercises when applicable.
  

• Previous experience in caregiving or patient assistance roles is preferred, especially in settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, or pediatrics.
  
• Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous for effective communication within the healthcare team.
  
• Experience or training in dementia care is a plus for those working with elderly patients.
  
• Knowledge of emergency medicine or critical care practices is beneficial for providing comprehensive support.
  
• Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments like ICU settings.
  
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with children and adults alike.

Pay: $22.91 - $27.60 per hour
