This job schedules all patients for procedures based on the modality, department, length of test, and day of week. Obtains and verifies accurate identification and demographical data for the patient’s permanent medical record, and assist in accurate reimbursement. Recognizes and maintains the confidentiality of all patient information, pre-registers all scheduled procedures, and ensures accurate billing by verification and/or authorization of all accounts. Also accurately enters technical terminology for each test.
EducationRequired - High School diploma or equivalent
Required - 1 year related hospital, clinic, medical office, business services/revenue cycle, front line registration, financial counseling, banking, hotel retail and/or customer service related position.

The incumbent works with patients who have known or suspected communicable diseases and may enter isolation rooms. The incumbent has an occupational risk for exposure to all communicable diseases.
