Parts Operator

We are seeking a Parts Operator to join our team!

This position is responsible for cutting and preparing steel sheets using various tools and machinery, following technical drawings and specifications. The employee is expected to perform tasks accurately and may be assigned other duties as needed.

• General knowledge of sheet metal forming machines
  
• Ability to read scales and tape measures
  
• Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings
  
• Ability to operate overhead cranes
  

• Mechanical shear
  
• Plasma torch
  
• Ironworker machine
  
• Corner notcher
  
• Overhead crane
  
• Tape measure
  

• Select steel sheets from storage
  
• Shear and cut sheets according to drawings
  
• Use tape measures and scales to inspect parts
  
• Place materials on jigs or carts and move them to the correct staging area
  

• Routine maintenance required for your equipment and machine
  

• Sign off on inspection reports
  
• Mark and label finished parts

First shift schedule: Monday - Thursday; 6am to 4:30pm OT is based off of business need and should it be called advanced notice will be given. OT schedule - Friday; 6am to 2:30pm and/or 6am-11am.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
