Parts Inventory Manager / Parts Specialist / Service Clerk

Kansas Paving located in Wichita, Ks is looking for an

experienced Parts Inventory Clerk / Service Parts Specialist capable of multitasking and operating a small parts department room.

We only work on our own equipment so our parts supply is limited to our own needs. Those needs encompass various commercial vehicles, Mixer Trucks, Pump Trucks, Tele-Belt Trucks, Dump Trucks, End Dumps, Trailers, smaller diesel trucks, fleet trucks, heavy construction equipment, and more.

The qualified person Must

· have a Valid Kansas D.L.,

· be familiar with the City,

· be able to lift up to 75 Pounds when needed,

· be able to give precise and concise directions,

· be able to route parts runners to pick up or return parts,

· be able to work in a team environment

· be able to adhere to given instructions

· have a sense of urgency

· be able to prioritize

·

Duties Include:

· Parts sourcing and parts ordering,

· parts returns & credits,

· parts and labor warranties,

· inventory control

· Tracking parts and orders

· Following up on missing orders, or untimely deliveries

· Creating charts (or tracking system) to inform owner of issues.

Applicants must possess:

· Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills

· Ability to thrive and multi-task in a constantly changing environment

· Superior customer service skills

· Computer skills with the ability to learn new programs

· Ability to stand for extended periods of time

· Ability to manage various personalities and co-worker’s needs

· Patience

· Ability to manage different environmental smells

· Ability to lift 60-75 pounds on an as needed basis

The successful candidate must also be detail oriented, organized, accountable, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Communicating effectively and professionally with vendors and coworkers is a must. Previous parts ordering and mechanical aptitude/background is required.

Strong interpersonal and time management skills are also a must!

Knowledge of heavy construction equipment and commercial vehicles is a plus but not a deal breaker.

Must be able to work Monday thru Friday and some Saturdays.
