Part-time Warehouse Assistant for Dance Competition

It has been said that “great things come in small packagesâ€. On Point National Dance Competition is exactly that package. We are a small, women and family-owned business offering a part-time hourly opportunity for a logistical powerhouse to coordinate our warehouse operations specifically our merchandise line and our awards (trophies/medals/pins, etc.). Together we will assemble dance competitions for amateur youth dancers that our crews produce three months of the year.

Candidates should love a physical job as this is not a seated position. (If you are looking to get your steps in at work this just might be the job for you!) This individual will be directly responsible for inventorying, stocking and restocking awards and merchandise needed to travel with our crews.

An ideal candidate would offer the following core competencies:

• Precision and attention to detail and numbers as our pre-production tasks directly affect the production of our events. (e.g. if an event needs 440 trophies, we must have at least 440 trophies packed.)
  
• Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs independently as it relates to moving merchandise, loading equipment to travel, etc. in the warehouse. Our trophies, medals and merchandise boxes can weigh approximately 40lbs and the ideal candidate will be able to do lift/lower/stack these boxes by themselves.
  
• A high level of organization as our days are busy and multi-faceted.
  
• Pride in a clean and organized work space, continually tidying as you work through your task list ensuring the floor is free from debris and trip/fall hazards.
  
• Team-oriented nature and ability to work with directors in person and remotely.
  
• The ability to manage deadlines quickly. Our workload from February to May is hectic and can be stressful. There are a lot of things happening all at once and often with a narrow timeline. Candidates will be able to thrive in this environment.
  
• Ability to prioritize and manage each day�s assignments.
  
• Reliability to report to work - sun, rain or snow - during our competition season.
  

As a small company we all often participate in tasks simultaneously, working together to ensure the success of our events and the operation of the office. Candidates should be positive, flexible individuals who are enthusiastic about participating in all aspects of the business. Knowledge of dance is helpful but not required.

This part-time position is Monday - Friday at our Hillsborough, NJ headquarters. Scheduling and hours have some flexibility. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and skill set.
