Position Summary:
The Driver is responsible for safely transporting residents of the community to and from appointments, scheduled outings, and other events, while providing excellent customer service and maintaining a compassionate and respectful attitude. The Driver plays a vital role in ensuring residents independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safely operate community vehicle to transport residents to medical appointments, shopping centers, or other scheduled events.
- Assist residents in and out of vehicle as needed, ensuring safety at all times.
- Maintain a pleasant, courteous, and helpful attitude with residents and their families.
- Keep transportation logs and schedules accurate and up to date.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols at all times.
- Coordinate with front desk, nursing, and activities teams to ensure timely resident pick-up and drop-off.
- Respond to emergency situations in accordance with community protocols.
- Ensure confidentiality of resident information and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Prior experience working with seniors or in a healthcare/assisted living setting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and assist with mobility aids such as walkers and wheelchairs.

Work Environment:
- Frequent driving in local and surrounding areas.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Interaction with seniors who may have physical or cognitive limitations.
- May involve occasional evening, weekend, or holiday shifts depending on community needs.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 10 per week
