The Idaho HealthCorps (IHC) AmeriCorps program partners community members with non-profits across Idaho. These community members serve in paid volunteer positions called AmeriCorps positions. These positions offer community members the opportunity to receive support while volunteering with their favorite non-profit. The opportunity is offered each year from Sept 1- Aug 31. The IHC program focuses on health education, health screenings , and promotion of overall health.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a faith based, non-profit organization working to build a sustainable improved standard of living for the people we serve. The AmeriCorps member will load, transport and deliver donated food to the food pantry and other locations as needed. They will also lead volunteers in sorting and shelving the food items and distribute food directly to the people coming to the food pantry. We hope to attract an organized, dedicated, empathetic, non-judgmental, and motivated teammate. Members do not participate in prohibited activities. Members do not duplicate or displace staff at the Host Site. Members with this program have recurring access to vulnerable populations.
Apply by submitting a resume and three references to Jeff Stanhouse at jeff.stanhouse@svdpid.org. Please be sure to reference Pantry Service Aide in your email. If you have any questions about the position, contact the person listed above or call the AmeriCorps program at 208-282-4436.
