P/T Custodian/Groundskeeper

A custodial and groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of both indoor and outdoor areas of a property. This includes cleaning buildings, maintaining grounds, and performing minor repairs. Along with other tasks as assigned by the facilities director.

• Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
  
• Emptying trash and recycling bins, and disposing of waste.
  
• Cleaning windows, walls, and other surfaces.
  
• Restocking supplies like paper towels and soap.
  

· Mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and maintaining flowerbeds.

· Clearing snow and ice from sidewalks and walkways.

· Removing litter and debris from the grounds.

· Maintaining and repairing sprinkler systems.

· Operating and maintaining groundskeeping equipment like mowers and leaf blowers.

· Ensuring the overall appearance and safety of the grounds.

• Ability to perform physical tasks and lift moderately heavy objects.
  
• Knowledge of cleaning and groundskeeping equipment and supplies.
  
• Basic knowledge of minor repairs and maintenance.
  
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work independently.
  
• Good communication and customer service skills.
  
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.

• Bending at the waist, kneeling, or crouching, and reaching to retrieve and maintain files and records.

• Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person and on the telephone.
