Lipari Foods is looking for a hands-on OS&D Manager to join our team at our corporate office in Warren, Michigan. We seek a driven leader and team builder with a record of accomplishment in leadership and continuous improvement.


This position will provide leadership and oversight to the newly formed Credits team. This position will work closely and partner with the sales, transportation, A/R and collections teams. The OS&D Manager will also be responsible for developing and executing best practice strategies to improve efficiency, quality, and reporting of credits issued to our customers. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the OS&D Manager will be responsible for liaising throughout the organization regarding customer relationships, mentoring and developing all staff, establishing effective processes, driving continuous improvement, and implementing and tracking KPIs. This role is also responsible for developing and executing best practice strategies to improve efficiency, quality, and reporting of credits issued to our customers. Key Responsibilities




Provide oversight for all customer credits activities, including supervision, motivation, prioritization team engagement and ongoing coaching and development of personnel




Partner cross-functionally with the sales, transportation, A/R and collections organizations regarding deduction/adjustment/credits resolution, root cause analysis and development of corrective actions




Drive continuous improvement in areas such as reporting, effectiveness, streamlining, and improving business and operational performance




Regularly review, audit, and follow up on credit codes/problems to ensure adherence to company procedures and timely resolution of issues or negative trends




Engage directly with customers and/or cross-functionally when issues need to be escalated in a timely and professional manner




Develop, implement, analyze, and report on trends in key performance indicators associated with the overall performance of the respective teams to ensure timely execution, risk mitigation and recommendation of operational changes




Actively participate in the value stream mapping process and assist in the prioritization, development, implementation, documentation and training of new processes.




Responsible for the identification and accounting for all credits and non-accounting-related adjustments to company AR. Work with the A/R Manager to ensure the appropriateness of the balance sheet reserves.




Assist with the development, oversight and execution of team goals and participate in the assessment of individuals for performance purposes.




Ensure an efficient and effective system of internal controls and provide leadership in improving the internal control environment and best practices for related activities




Create new coding structure for credits and adjustments to ensure proper evaluation accounting and drivers of credits by leading a cross-functional team from sales, transportation, accounting and a/r/collections.




Work with National account and KLT sales leadership to explore new methods to track promotional pricing




Work with the sales, transportation, accounting, etc. teams to develop guidelines for all types of credits including delegation of authority levels.


Position Requirements




Prior experience in customer service or working with customer returns/credits or issues preferred




Experience developing relationships with customers and/or vendors




Prior experience with automation solutions and/or process improvement tools is a plus




Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office products (especially Excel and PowerPoint)




Strong written and verbal communication skills




Attention to detail and highly organized with the ability to proactively identify and solve problems




Collaborative, team player, and self-starter energized by building high-quality controls and procedures in a fast-growing company




Ability to build solid relationships and establish credibility across all levels of the organization and externally


Education Requirements




7+ years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role
