Job Location: Any MyEyeDr. Optometry of Maryland location (Multiple Positions Available). MyEyeDr. currently has locations in the following locations/counties:
Days/Hours: Full-time
Job Description: Analyze test results and develop treatment plans; Consult with and refer patients to ophthalmologist or other health care practitioner if additional medical treatment is necessary; Educate and counsel patients on contact lens care, visual hygiene, lighting arrangements, and safety factors; Examine eyes using observation, instruments, and pharmaceutical agents to determine visual acuity and perception, focus, and coordination; Diagnose diseases and other abnormalities such as glaucoma or color blindness; Prescribe medications to treat eye diseases and conditions; Prescribe, supply, fit and adjust eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other low vision aids; Analyze test data or images to inform diagnosis or treatment; Remove foreign bodies from the eye; Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgeries; Train patients, family members, or caregivers in techniques for managing disabilities or illnesses.
Requires: Doctorate in Optometry from an accredited institution. Valid optometric license for the State of Maryland and current Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agent (TPA) license for the state of Maryland, National Provider Identification (NPI) number. Must be willing to work at any location in the state of Maryland.
Salary: The wage offered will be $160,000, which is greater than the prevailing wage provided by the Department of Labor for this position/range of pay. Competitive benefits, such as health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off, are offered.
