The Filler Operator is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the filler machine. This position shall assure the efficient operation, filling and capping of all sauce products and operate in such a manner to maintain continuous operation without downtime. This position shall also be responsible for cleaning the work area, verification and inspection of product and materials and maintain simple records.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with Mizkan America safety policies, OSHA regulations, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).
Perform manual tasks which support the continuous operation of the production lines. Such duties may include, but are not limited to:
Sweeping, squeegee and washing of floors and equipment.
Operation and simple maintenance of the filler machine and related equipment.
Rotate duties with other workers at other locations in the plant as required.
Performs simple quality inspections of product, materials and ingredients to assure compliance to standards.
Maintain records and paperwork related to inventory and quality.
Perform changeovers as required.
Performs other duties required of the position or as directed.
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills required.
Excellent attention to details and accuracy required.
Must be able to read and understand simple written instructions.
Must be respectful and work well with all levels of personnel.
Great work attitude, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to work overtime on short notice basis. Long-term, temporary assignments to any shift may be required to maintain manufacturing processes.
Ability to work in high temperatures (hot or cold), working at heights and exposure to strong smells, dust, gases, fumes and chemical or require personal protective equipment.
Ability to use Personal Protective Equipment.
Must be able to see, sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, reach, bend, twist, ascend/ descend.
Ability to pull, push, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., 50+ lbs. with assistance.
