Operations Supervisor (Variable Schedule) - JLL

What this Job Involves

Direct and support daily operations to ensure that a safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of services is provided to the client and building occupants. Provide direct support to field operations to supervise technicians in responding to various systems and facility maintenance and repairs such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, motive power, water, alcohol, carpentry, painting, grounds, landscape services and projects.

What your day-to-day will look like

• Communicate all processes as directed to ensure full understanding by all technicians, engineers, and contractors who perform work on the building�s infrastructure and functions.
  
• Identify and ensure execution of updates and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices.
  
• Identify safety hazards, working closely with HS&E and account management team to incorporate the remediation of hazards, ensuring a safe environment for staff.
  
• Responsible for information gathering for business reporting purposes.
  
• Responsible for creating, reviewing and closing work orders in SAP in a timely manner.
  
• Oversee the operation, staffing, performance and development of the technical team and resources, including SAP, and compliance with policies, procedures, and training.
  
• Oversee technician work schedules and assignments.
  
• Procures materials when needed.
  
• Reviews and provides documentation of work progress and results.
  
• Coordinates daily work activities and/or projects of technicians.
  
• Ensure that the technicians are provided with proper information and materials about assignments to complete work activities in a high quality and timely fashion.
  
• Performs field checks and oversight activities.
  
• Ensure technicians are following SOPs and complying with standards and objectives.
  
• Interacts with customer personnel to coordinate work and communicate project purpose, length and potential disruptions and other conditions.

Required Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent
  
• Strong analytical ability
  
• Strong organizational and management skills
  
• Ability to function effectively in a dynamic work environment
  
• Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently
  
• Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills; strong emphasis on customer service
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead a team
  
• Proficient in Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite programs
  
• This job requires the candidate to be flexible with the daily / weekly work schedule. Some overnight duty required to provide PTO coverage.
  

Position requires frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of trade school in electrical system design, refrigeration, HVAC, building maintenance or related field is a plus
  
• 5+ years of technical experience in facility/plant engineering maintenance with 3+ years in supervision.
  
• Exposure to HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, carpentry, welding, and electrical systems engineering and operation.
  
• Knowledge of facility code requirements and standards
  
• SAP experience a plus
  

Location: Onsite

Work Shift: Monday-Friday 7a-330p with a requirement to cover 30 night shifts throughout the year (6p-6a)

Salary/Compensation: 75-85 + 10% annual target bonus

Estimated total compensation for this position:

75,000.00 - 85,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
