About Us:


The Cache Valley Straw Maze is a family-friendly fall and Christmas attraction featuring a giant straw bale maze, festive activities, and seasonal fun for all ages. Located in Richmond, UT, we’re proud to bring people together by creating lasting memories for families and friends with unique farm fun.


Summary


The Operations Manager oversees the daily physical operations of the maze. This includes site maintenance, managing employees, managing shifts and schedules, resolving problems, answering phone calls, customer service, and coordination of event activities to ensure a smooth and safe guest experience.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage scheduling for crews of 6-15.
  • Ensure that all maze activities are operating smoothly.
  • Provide training for employees.
  • Perform and supervise heavy lifting tasks (lifting 50 lbs regularly).
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of the maze, parking areas, and other guest areas.
  • Ensure proper placement and maintenance of signage, lighting, fencing, and props
  • Create and implement SOPs.
  • Help manage inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Provide hands-on support wherever needed-including physical labor.
  • Monitor employee performance and support a positive team environment.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor visas.
  • Able to lift and move 50 lbs regularly and safely.
  • Experience operating a loader and other similar equipment.
  • Prior experience managing teams (5-10 people preferred).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and solution-oriented.
  • Available for full-time hours from end of August - early November, and part-time from November-February.
  • Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience (crews of 5-10).
  • Basic mechanical or maintenance skills.
  • Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.


Pay and Schedule:


  • $17-$25 per hour, based on experience.
  • Evening and weekend availability is required.
  • Start date: Flexible, ideally by late August.
