Location: This position is required to live in the Wasatch Front area of Utah.


Background: Children First Education Fund (CFEF) is the administrator of the CarsonSmith Opportunity Scholarship program established by the state legislature in 2020. CFEF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, dedicated to providing education choice options to children with disabilities by providing scholarships to children in kindergarten through 12th grade to attend private school or to be homeschooled. Funds for scholarships are raised from both individual and corporate donations. Donors receive a 100% Utah State income tax credit for their donations.


Job Summary: The Operations Assistant plays a vital role in processing student applications and managing monthly reimbursements for approved scholarship payments. This position involves data entry and clerical tasks, requiring strong interpersonal skills for regular interactions with parents, vendors, and schools. Success in this role hinges on a meticulous approach to data management, effective communication, and exemplary organizational and time management abilities. The Operations Assistant must possess professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.


Essential Responsibilities & Duties:


  • Student Application Review and Approval: Evaluate and approve student applications for scholarships, ensuring accuracy and compliance with program requirements.
  • Student Scholarship Account Management: Oversee and manage scholarship accounts, addressing any issues or discrepancies as they arise.
  • Monthly Processing of Reimbursements: Process monthly reimbursements for approved scholarship payments, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
  • Regular Engagement with Parents: Maintain consistent positive communication with scholarship student's parents, providing updates and addressing inquiries.
  • Communication with Partner Schools: Liaise with partner schools to manage scholarship-related processes and resolve any issues.
  • Quarterly Tuition Payments: Process student tuition payments on a quarterly basis, ensuring all transactions are handled efficiently.


Experience:


  • Bachelor�s degree in operations management, project management, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Prior nonprofit experience is advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
