Operating Room Registered Nurse

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for an experienced Operating Room RN to support either the General/Robotics or Ortho/Neuro OR teams. This role offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment with a consistent weekday schedule, on-call rotation, and a comprehensive orientation process.

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts (0645-1515 or 0900-1730), Monday through Friday
  
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
  
• Gross Weekly Pay: Approximately 2206 (30 per hour W2 + 1246 weekly tax-free stipend)
  
• On-call required, with response time of 15 minutes
  
• Call frequency:
  
• Weeknights: 1 to 2 times per week (1515-0645)
  
• Weekends: Every 3rd to 4th weekend (Friday 1515 through Monday 0645)
  
• Holidays: Participation required on a rotating basis
  

• Minimum 3 years of OR RN experience required
  
• BLS certification required
  
• Experience in one or more of the following specialties:
  
• General/Robotics OR: open abdominal procedures, GYN, endoscopy, Da Vinci Xi, ION robotics
  
• Ortho/Neuro OR: total joints, sports medicine, spinal fusions, microdiscectomies, craniotomies
  
• Willingness to float to other specialties or floor roles (e.g., 1:1 sitter or helping hands) is required
  

• 12 operating rooms, 1 endoscopy suite, and 1 cysto suite
  
• Case volume: 25-30 procedures per day
  
• Support from charge nurses and managers across all shifts
  
• OR techs available; RNs are not required to scrub
  
• EMR: Epic
  
• Orientation: 3-4 days of hospital orientation, 4-5 days unit-based training, and 2 buddy on-call shifts
  
• Scrubs provided
  

• Sleep rooms available for post-call recovery
  
• Local housing options located near the facility to meet 15-minute call response
  
• A family-oriented team environment focused on teamwork and high-quality surgical care
  
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to qualify
