Position Summary


We are hiring an

experienced Onsite Custodial Supervisor to lead and manage day-to-day custodial operations at a secure federal facility in Marion, VA. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to coordinate custodial staff while serving as the primary point of contact between the contractor and government representatives.


This is a leadership position ideal for candidates who take pride in maintaining clean, safe environments and have prior supervisory or lead custodian experience.


Key Responsibilities


  • Supervise and coordinate a team of custodial staff (3-4 personnel)
  • Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed according to contract scope and schedule (weekly, monthly, annual tasks)
  • Act as the onsite contractor representative during government business hours
  • Communicate with the Government�s Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and/or Regional Facilities Operational Specialist (RFOS)
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections using provided checklists
  • Submit work schedules, personnel rosters, and incident reports
  • Maintain accurate logs (key control, safety data sheets, sign-in/out records)
  • Ensure proper use of cleaning materials, safety compliance, and waste disposal
  • Manage supply inventory and request resupplies as needed
  • Assist with onboarding and training new custodial staff
  • Respond to government feedback and corrective actions in a timely, professional manner


Qualifications


  • Minimum 2 years of custodial or janitorial supervisory experience (required)
  • Prior experience managing teams in government, educational, or commercial settings strongly preferred
  • Ability to work independently and lead by example
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in English
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and perform hands-on cleaning tasks when needed
  • Strong recordkeeping, time management, and task coordination skills
  • Must pass background screening for federal facility access
  • Must complete mandatory AT Level I and OPSEC training (provided upon hire)
  • U.S. Citizenship or legal eligibility to work on a federal facility required
