Scheduled to work 6 hours per day, but may be extended up to 8 hours per day depending on need. Actual scheduled shift time varies between 6am and 3:30pm. The Nutrition Floater performs a variety of job functions essential to the successful operation of the District’s nutrition program. The primary job functions include food production, record keeping, sanitation, safety and security, customer service, cashiering, equipment use and care, and upholding program regulations and accountability. The floater works under the direction of their supervisor to receive assigned daily tasks. The WDMCS Nutrition Program provides an environment that supports healthy food habits, and maintains program integrity and customer satisfaction while following federal, state and local guidelines.
