New Car Sales Manager Job Responsibilities


  • Lead and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed goals in volume, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage daily sales operations, including customer interactions, deal structuring, desking deals, and finance approvals.
  • Ensure an excellent customer experience through every step of the sales process.
  • Monitor and analyze sales metrics to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of inventory, pricing, and current manufacturer programs.
  • Stay current with industry trends and Subaru brand standards.
  • Uphold compliance with all state and federal regulations.

New Car Sales Manager Qualifications


  • 2+ years of automotive sales management experience required (Subaru experience is a plus).
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing sales teams and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep understanding of automotive sales processes, inventory management, and customer retention strategies.
  • Experience with using DriveCentric and CDK.
  • Ability to analyze sales metrics and adjust strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Valid driver�s license and clean driving record required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.


Corporate requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
