Mortgage closers are responsible for a wide range of tasks including but not limited to:
- Reviewing Loan Documents: Ensuring accuracy and completeness of all loan documents by balancing with the title/ escrow to finalize numbers.
- Preparing Closing Documents: Drafting and assembling the final closing documents for various loan types, such as conventional, FHA, and VA.
- Coordinating with all parties: Communicating and collaborating with borrowers, lenders, title companies, attorneys, real estate agents and other relevant parties to facilitate the closing process.
- Facilitating Loan Funding: Overseeing the disbursement of loan funds.
- Resolving Issues: Addressing any discrepancies or issues that may arise before, during, or after closing.
- Minimum of 1 year of mortgage closing experience, minimum of 3 years of experience in the mortgage industry
- Strong understanding of mortgage documentation and loan processing procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable navigating lender portals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to complete math quiz during interview
