The Mold Technician is responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate setup, changeover, troubleshooting, and maintenance of molding machines. This role supports production by ensuring proper mold installation, machine readiness, and process stability. The Mold Technician works closely with Production, Maintenance, the Tool Room, and Engineering teams to execute changeovers, address technical issues, and maintain high standards of quality and safety.

• Perform setup, changeover, and startup of injection molding machines (up to 2300 tons)
  
• Execute mold tool changeovers and complete all related checklists and documentation
  
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts
  
• Troubleshoot and maintain injection molding processes, including insert molding, over-molding, two-component molding, etc.
  
• Perform daily tooling PMs
  
• Start up and shut down machines, including completion of process verifications and shutdown checklists
  
• Accurately program BDE based on the Calculation Card
  
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following 5S principles
  
• Understand and troubleshoot basic hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  
• Recognize when to escalate issues to Maintenance, Tool Room, or Engineering
  
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and proficient use of hand tools
  
• Apply basic knowledge of robotics and end-of-arm tooling, including fault identification
  
• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and facilitate corrective actions as needed
  
• Translate customer and production needs into actionable technical processes
  
• Maintain focus and composure in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments
  
• Handle changing priorities and manage tasks independently
  
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations
  

• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience required
  
• Injection molding technical experience is preferred
  
• Experience with PA, PC/ABS, TPO, PP, and TPE resins is a plus
  
• Basic understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems
  
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  
• Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends as needed
