Vertiv MetalWorks is seeking a detail-oriented

Technical Draftsman to support our engineering and manufacturing teams through the creation and control of technical documentation for sheet metal parts. The Draftsman will be responsible for producing precise process prints and inspection sheets critical to the setup and fabrication of flat, formed, and PEM-inserted components. This role plays a key part in ensuring accuracy, quality, and readiness as we move toward a paperless documentation process.


Key Responsibilities:


Create and maintain controlled documentation for new and revised parts.


Develop technical process prints that include all vital manufacturing dimensions necessary for:


Sheet metal forming


PEM (fastener) insertion


Flat pattern production


Generate inspection sheets for flat, forming, and PEM processes.


Use software such as

TruTops Boost (with bending module), Creo , SolidWorks , AutoCAD , and Nitro PDF to design and modify drawings and inspection documents.


Be cross-trained on

TruTops Boost Punching and Forming Programming Software and Haeger Offline Software to provide backup programming support when needed.


Prepare technical documentation with a future goal of fully integrating into a

paperless system .


Preferred Experience: 1-2 years in sheet metal fabrication and/or drafting.


Education: Associate’s degree in CAD, Drafting, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.


Software Skills: Experience with any of the following is a plus:


TruTops Boost


Creo


SolidWorks


AutoCAD


Nitro PDF


Training: Onsite training available for the right candidate.
