Next Step Residential Treatment Program is currently seeking a part-time day and/or evening facility and medication delivery staff with availability between the hours of 7am-3pm and/or 3pm-11pm. These positions are a minimum of 3 hours per week with the potential for additional hours up to 40 hours per week contingent upon staff availability and additional training.

Next Step is a 15 bed short term residential facility serving those with substance abuse and addiction issues as they undergo chemical dependency treatment. Staff duties include (but are not limited to) providing a safe and therapeutic environment for individuals to establish their recovery, monitoring for signs of substance usage and conducting breathalyzer tests and urine analyses, collaborating efforts and interventions with co-workers and case managers, providing verbal deescalation, observing for mental health and psychiatric concerns, providing staff facilitated groups, monitoring medications, completing documentation, janitorial tasks, and assisting with resident needs and skill building.
Medication Delivery
While working in the medication delivery program staff are responsible for delivering and observing client self-administer prescribed psychiatric medications. Individuals we serve in the community are often recovering from and managing mental illness or substance use disorders. Staff are responsible for reporting any increase in psychiatric symptoms observed or reported side effects of the medications, conducting breathalyzers, and reporting any other concerns the client may share as well as completing thorough documentation. Most of these deliveries are to individual residences within the community and occur between 7:30am-10:30am and 7pm-10:30pm.
All training is provided but applicants need to be able to work independently, have strong problem-solving skills, be able to multitask, and have a desire to learn and expand their knowledge in the field of mental health. The ability to build a professional relationship and therapeutic rapport with clientele is a critical component to these positions.
The position requires driving a company provided vehicle so new hires must pass a driving background check and have a clear driving record without any major infractions. You must also be comfortable navigating the Fargo area and driving in normal winter and seasonal weather conditions.

Pay: $15.50 - $16.75 per hour
