The Firefly Institute is currently reviewing applications for a clinical mental health therapist. Therapist positions are independently contracted partners within the organization. Clinicians create a tailored schedule for client care to meet their personal and professional needs, which provides flexibility for work/life balance.
The Firefly Institute, with locations in Hillsboro, OR and Forest Grove, OR, is an outpatient mental health clinic which envisions a future where the lives of all people improve. We are a privately owned mental health clinic with over a decade of success providing complete professional and administrative support for clinical providers. This position is tailored for therapists by therapists to experience increased autonomy combined with support and security. Firefly is an organization that recognizes mental health as an essential part of overall well-being serving individuals and families across the lifespan. The most common mental health referrals are: Trauma (physical, sexual trauma, emotional abuse), depression, anxiety conditions, lifespan stressors and adjustment, neurodivergence, LGBTQAI+ health, acute and chronic illness (pediatric preparation for surgery or other medical procedures, navigating family stressors due to chronic illness, such as cancer), court involved family systems, including divorce advocacy, and adjustment to life stressors. Many providers specialize in expressive arts/play therapy, animal assisted therapy, and EMDR. Firefly is frequently asked to present locally and nationally on subjects related to trauma and pediatric mental health.
Hybrid service delivery model: Full-time metal health counselors have their own office (no shared office spaces to support clinical flexibility). Providers can choose to see these clients in their dedicated office space or remotely. Part-time mental health counselors work in a shared space with other providers who need to maintain a reduced schedule.
All associates receive access to the institute medical health record system, community/case consultation support, documentation support, medical billing, claims processing and accounting support. Compensation varies depending upon the desired number of client work hours. Fee schedules and projections are provided to all providers to help support individuals in managing their caseloads and to provide guidance for salary expectations. Credentialing support is available to all providers who are seeking to apply to insurance panels for an in-network provider status. Provisionally licensed or pre-licensed associates can bill insurance in-network if they pursue supervision through the organization.
