Anchorage Project Access (APA) is a non-profit organization serving Alaskans in need for over 20 years. APA is the only health care safety net program of its kind in Alaska; coordinating donated specialty care for uninsured Alaskans with limited financial resources. APA provides access to health care by recruiting and maintaining a network of dedicated and compassionate volunteer providers who donate their services through our medical, dental, and mental health counseling programs. We are seeking a compassionate and driven Mental Health Counseling Coordinator to join our team!
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, provides effective management of all Mental Health Counseling (MHC) operations to achieve the organization’s mission to increase access to health care for low-income uninsured members of our community. This individual must demonstrate empathy and use clinical skills to assess, enroll, and coordinate donated care for clients while monitoring and evaluating the program. The MHC Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting and enrolling donating counselors into the program, while facilitating an advisory committee made up of community leaders in the field. The ability to foster strong communications and relationships with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, mental health professionals, and other health care partners are required.
