Turning Leaf Counseling is one of the leading mental health services providers in north Iowa and prides itself on creating the feel of private practice for staff without the headache of business management. We offer flexible work schedules, performance-based pay, and beautiful office spaces in the historic Brick and Tile Building in downtown Mason City.

We are looking to add licensed or temp licensed mental health counselors and social workers to our practice to meet the needs of the community.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES

· Counsel clients or patients, individually or in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, coping skills, or making life changes.

· Provide shortâ€term, structured, evidenceâ€based psychotherapy as part of an appropriate treatment plan and in accordance with TLC contracts.

· Coordinate and collaborate with the primary care providers to improve health outcomes.

· Facilitate referrals to other services (e.g. substance abuse treatment, specialty care and community resources) as needed.

· Provide clinical therapeutic services to patients, including individual and group therapy and coordination of treatment for participants with coâ€occurring disorders.

· Provide crisis intervention as needed.

· Maintain accurate and timely records of activities, case management notes, and services provided to each client.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to qualify for insurance panels.

· Criminal background check and clearance

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must have a Masters degree and be licensed in the State of Iowa as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or (LMSW) , Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or (T-LMHC)

Clinical Supervision and employment is available for individuals with temp licenses

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
