Part-Time | Overnight | 6:00 pm - 6:30 am | Every Other Weekend Only

Pay Range: $17.08 - $22.45/hour (based on experience) plus overnight and weekend shift differential.

As a certified Medication Aide, you’ll make a daily impact by ensuring safe, accurate medication administration and supporting our nursing staff in resident-centered care.

Administer with Accuracy

• Prepare, administer, and accurately document medications per physician orders and state regulations.
  
• Safeguard medications through proper storage, labeling, and inventory checks.
  
• Maintain a medication-error rate of 5 % or below by following best practices and facility policies.
  

Observe, Report & Protect

• Monitor residents for side effects, adverse reactions, or effectiveness; promptly report findings to the Charge Nurse.
  
• Obtain and record vital signs as indicated.
  
• Uphold infection-control standards and the principles of our Buddies Forever dementia-care program.
  

Collaborate & Elevate Care

• Communicate clearly with residents, families, and team members-protecting confidentiality at all times.
  
• Support a positive, inclusive work culture by modeling our values and assisting with light resident-care tasks as needed.
  
• Keep equipment and medication carts clean, stocked, and safe; report maintenance needs immediately.
  

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• Required: Current South Dakota Medication Aide certification (state-approved training + exams).
  
• Proven knowledge of safe medication-administration techniques.
  
• Strong observation, documentation, and time-management skills.
  
• Ability to push/pull 60 lbs., lift 50 lbs., and carry 15 lbs. with two hands.
  
• Positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and genuine compassion for older adults.
