The Vascular and Vein Center at Gulfcoast Surgeons is a leading provider of comprehensive vascular care in Southwest Florida. Our board-certified vascular surgeons specialize in advanced, minimally invasive procedures and are committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Scribe to support our vascular surgeons during patient consultations and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent typing skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
· Accurately document physician-patient encounters in real-time during clinical visits and procedures.
· Input patient history, physical exam findings, diagnostic test results, and treatment plans into the electronic medical record (EMR).
· Assist with pre-charting and reviewing prior medical records and imaging.
· Ensure documentation is complete, timely, and compliant with regulatory standards.
· Coordinate with clinical staff to support patient flow and care delivery.
· Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
· High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in health sciences preferred.
· 1+ year of experience as a medical scribe or in a clinical healthcare setting (vascular or surgical specialty highly preferred).
· Proficiency in EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth, or similar).
· Strong knowledge of medical terminology, especially in vascular surgery.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to multitask and remain focused under pressure.
· Typing speed of at least 60 WPM with high accuracy.
· Bilingual Spanish/English is highly valued.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.50 per hour
