Job Description


The Coder/Clerk is responsible for assembling, coding, abstracting and performing analysis on patient records. Assist in answering phone calls and request for patient records.


Qualifications


  • High school education or GED required.
  • Vocational training or Coding Certification required.
  • Organization, verbal, customer relations and ability to comprehend instructions is required.
  • Computer typewriter skills required..
  • 2-4 years working in Health Information Management field preferred.


Ability to comprehend and follow instructions as well as to work with the public and coworkers.
