Experience & Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum two-year medical records experience required.
- Clerical experience in a medical setting required.
- Familiarity with the Problem Oriented Medical Record (SOAP) system essential.
Responsibilities:
Below is a list of your responsibilities as a
Medical Records Clerk with YesCare:- Retrieve medical charts for all healthcare staff or clinicians as requested. File daily all in use medical records. Secure all active and inactive medical records.
- Assure that charts are counter-signed by Physician, check charts for completeness.
- Release information at the direction of the Medical Records Supervisor, Medical Director or Health Services Administrator.
- Answer the telephone, take messages and make telephone calls. Type letters, reports and memorandums.
- Maintain a roster or appointment book for all scheduled patient appointments both on and off-site.
- Order, receive and maintain office supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
