South Shreveport Animal Clinic is seeking a dynamic and compassionate

Medical Director to lead our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced veterinarian with a strong clinical foundation and a passion for mentorship, surgery, team building, and driving medical excellence.

As our Medical Director, you’ll serve as both a practicing clinician and a strategic leader. You will shape medical protocols, cultivate a positive practice culture, and partner with hospital leadership to elevate the overall standard of care and service.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading by example in delivering quality, client-focused care
  
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and leading positive change initiatives to enhance efficiency, team dynamics, and patient outcomes
  
• Collaborating with the practice manager to support operational excellence and team engagement
  
• Overseeing the development and implementation of medical policies, procedures, and protocols
  
• Mentoring and coaching doctors and support staff to foster continuous growth and professional development
  
• Playing a key role in recruiting, onboarding, and retaining veterinary talent
  
• Partnering with leadership on budgeting, equipment upgrades, and long-term planning
  

This Role Is For You If You:

• Have 5+ years of clinical experience and are passionate about both medicine and leadership
