Summary of Responsibilities


The Medical Authorization Specialist main task will be to communicate with insurance companies to advocate on behalf of our patients to ensure they are getting the care they need. Insurance authorization must be accurate and timely completed and submitted to the patient specific insurance company.


While prior experience in medical authorization is beneficial, it is not required. We provide comprehensive training to ensure you feel confident in your role. A basic understanding of healthcare processes and terminology will be helpful, but we are committed to supporting your professional growth.

Qualifications


  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of Medical Authorization experience in healthcare/ home health preferred but not required.
  • Able to use IBM-compatible systems and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Communication skills to converse clearly over the telephone and in person.
  • Organization and time management to manage a variety of tasks effectively.
  • Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order and ability to drive in various weather conditions to ensure reliability.
