STAMPING AND BENDING MACHINE OPERATOR IN MUSKEGON, MI

Position Overview:


The Mechanical Engineering Internship is a great opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in mechanical design, customer collaboration, and product development. Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting technical projects, learning how engineering concepts apply in real-world manufacturing, and assisting with new product development and testing.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Support customer-related engineering activities including data gathering, design review, and basic part evaluations.
  • Assist in preparing documentation, reports, and technical presentations.
  • Help evaluate returned product samples and participate in failure mode investigations.
  • Learn how to use basic design and simulation tools for component analysis and testing.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project teams during early product development phases.
  • Participate in internal meetings related to product launches, testing, and customer engagement.
  • Support basic testing, data entry, and report creation for product validation efforts.
  • Observe and assist with design discussions and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) processes.


Ideal Qualifications:


  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Interest in product design, engineering communication, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
