· Select, design, and engineer HVAC systems for healthcare, commercial, educational, and industrial facilities.
· Perform HVAC system life cycle cost studies, energy studies, and conditional assessments.
· Conduct field inspections to determine existing conditions.
· Perform ventilation, cooling, and heat load calculations.
· Select equipment for various project and system types.
· Perform flow and pressure drop calculations for sizing air distribution and piping systems.
· Design air and hydronic distribution systems.
· Collaborate with designers to layout equipment, ductwork, and piping systems.
· Perform code analysis based on federal, state, and local codes.
· Design EMS/ATC systems, including systems control diagrams, points lists, and sequence of operations.
· Prepare CSI Master specifications for projects.
· Provide construction administration support, including reviewing shop drawings, answering requests for information, performing punch-lists, and participating in construction meetings.
· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Architectural Engineering (BSAE).
· Current PE registration.
· LEED/AP highly preferred.
· Commissioning certification is a plus.
· 10+ years of experience designing HVAC building systems in technically sophisticated facilities.
· Proficiency in Trane Trace 700 or Carrier HAP program.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office software packages.
· Knowledge of ASHRAE standards.
· Thorough understanding of applicable building codes.
