Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated

Mechanical Engineer to lead our Mechanical Design group, with a strong focus on 3D modeling, product development, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is ideal for a technically proficient engineer with leadership capabilities who thrives in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment. You will play a critical role in driving mechanical design excellence, mentoring team members, and supporting product development from concept to production. What will you do?

• Lead and manage the Mechanical Design team, providing technical direction, mentorship, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing engineering culture.
  
• Develop and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using Creo, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with design standards.
  
• Oversee the mechanical design process from concept through production, balancing performance, cost, and manufacturability requirements.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Project Management, and other plant locations to support standardization and design alignment.
  
• Conduct design reviews, perform tolerance stack-up analysis, and run FEA simulations to validate mechanical integrity and ensure robust product performance.
  
• Manage engineering documentation, including BOMs, design specifications, and change control records within PLM systems (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter).
  
• Support prototype development, including hands-on involvement in builds, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems to verify design intent and resolve issues.
  
• Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance design processes, implement new tools, and streamline team workflows for increased efficiency and innovation.
  

Qualifications:

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or related engineering roles.
  
• Proven experience leading or mentoring engineering teams in a manufacturing or product development environment.
  
• Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and drafting using Creo (or similar tools like SolidWorks or NX).
  
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  
• Experience conducting tolerance analysis, FEA simulations, and design reviews.
  
• Familiarity with PLM systems for managing BOMs, design documentation, and change control (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter).
