Defense Systems Rapid Integration and Prototyping Department is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in designing and being hands-on with cutting-edge sensor platforms and ancillary equipment supporting DoD customers and servicemembers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and develop electromechanical assemblies and supporting parts, including: Electronics enclosures and packaging, mobile platforms, machined and sheet metal parts, 3D printed parts.
  
• Create Technical Data Packages up to MIL-STD-31000 Level II requirements.
  
• Contribute to program planning, risk mitigation, and requirements development.
  
• Collaborate with a team of engineers, technicians, and program staff to deliver unique solutions, on time.
  
• Document and present ideas accurately and concisely at design reviews.
  

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor�s degree from an accredited institution with four (4) years of applicable experience or 2+ years with a master�s degree.
  
• Mechanical design experience
  
• 3D CAD and 2D drawing experience
  
• Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems
  
• Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
  
• Candidate must be a resident of or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area
  

Preferred Qualifications

• SolidWorks CAD and 2D drawing experience
  
• Cradle-to-grave design of electromechanical systems
  
• Radar or sensor system experience
  
• EPDM and/or Windchill PLM experience
  
• Static FEA and thermal analysis experience

Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
