Chemours is seeking a
Materials Engineering Technologist to join our Titanium Technologies Ore Technology team at our state-of-the-art research facility, the Chemours Discovery Hub, in Newark, Delaware. The position will report to the Ore Technology Lab Supervisor .This position will support all businesses at Chemours - Titanium Technology (TT), Thermal Specialized Solutions (TSS) and Advance Performance Materials (APM).
The primary function of this position is to assist researchers, plant personnel, and engineering consultants in conducting failure analyses and corrosion experiments across the entire company. The individual will work closely with the various researcher personnel to design and implement corrosion technology and metallurgical/failure analyses programs, most of which are short-term and often require rapid response to address critical materials problems in manufacturing and developmental processes. This person will also be responsible for maintaining all necessary documentation, manage a safe laboratory, order operating inventories, and facilitate sample shipments. This position offers the opportunity to develop the candidate into a laboratory leadership and mentoring role.
