Master Control Operator

WISH-TV/WNDY in Indianapolis, IN DMA rank #25 has an immediate opening for an experienced Master control Operator. The Master Control Operator is responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of on-air content before it goes live, as well as maintaining the broadcast equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a master control operator or in a similar technical broadcast role.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Monitor and control on-air broadcasts to ensure technical quality, accuracy, and adherence to program schedules

· Operate and maintain broadcast equipment, including servers, automation systems, routers, and switchers

· Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on broadcast equipment and systems

· Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth transitions between programs and timely resolution of any technical issues

· Record, log, and report any technical issues or errors during broadcasts

· Ensure compliance with FCC regulations and company policies

· Participate in training and development programs to maintain technical skills and knowledge of industry trends

Successful candidate must possess:

· Proficiency in operating and maintaining broadcast equipment and software, including servers, automation systems, routers, and switchers

· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

· Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with other departments and resolve issues quickly

· Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and evenings
