Avionics Operations Manager to lead our growing Avionics team. In this critical role, you will oversee a department of Crew Chiefs, Leads, Avionics Technicians, and Aircraft Electricians responsible for both avionics service and installations on high-end business jets. What You’ll Do:


  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the Avionics department, including workforce planning, scheduling, performance management, and professional development of a team of 16.
  • Oversee avionics troubleshooting, service, and STC-based installations across a wide range of corporate aircraft platforms.
  • Drive a safety-first culture while ensuring all work meets FAA regulations, OEM specifications, and StandardAero quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other department leaders including Airframe, Planning, Engineering, and Quality to deliver seamless and on-time aircraft projects.
  • Monitor project timelines and resource allocation to ensure budget and schedule compliance .
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to technicians; assist with complex troubleshooting and system integration issues as needed.
  • Review and approve logbook entries, inspection records, and other maintenance documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives , including capability expansion, tooling, training, and process improvements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for escalated customer concerns related to avionics work scopes.


Basic Qualifications:


  • Minimum 10 years of Avionics experience , including both on-aircraft troubleshooting and system installations .
  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership or management role within an MRO or OEM setting.
  • Experience managing projects involving modifications and avionics upgrades.
  • Familiarity with cabin connectivity systems such as Starlink, GoGo, SmartSky, Collins, and Honeywell .
  • Strong technical knowledge of avionics systems including navigation, communication, surveillance, and cabin connectivity.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • FCC GROL and/or FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
  • Experience managing projects involving modifications and avionics upgrades.
  • Familiarity with cabin connectivity systems such as Starlink, GoGo, SmartSky, Collins, and Honeywell .
  • Strong technical knowledge of avionics systems including navigation, communication, surveillance, and cabin connectivity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to lead high-performing teams.
  • Prior hands-on experience supporting corporate aircraft platforms such as Falcon, Gulfstream, Challenger, Hawker, or Embraer.
