SUMMARY: Maintains the physical integrity of the facility . Anticipates, identifies, and corrects all maintenance issues involving the facility. Also coordinates with contractors as needed. Repairs physical structure and ensures a safe and secure living environment for residents and staff by implementing procedures for preventative maintenance and repairs.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Performs structural repairs to, woodwork, sheetrock and furnishings of buildings.
  • Performs minor repairs on facilities� plumbing and electrical systems, appliance and equipment


Maintenance (wheelchairs, lifts etc.) and coordinates with contractors as needed.


  • Needs to be familiar with HVAC systems, generators, fire and security systems.
  • Paints interior walls and trim as needed.
  • Supervises janitorial staff.


  • Maintains current SDS sheets and uses thorough knowledge of current laws and EPA and OSHA regulations to ensure proper storage, and management of hazardous materials (including solvents, flammables, caustics, and refrigerants).


+ Documents and maintains current and accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, service requests, expenditures, inspections, resident room make-ready, fire drills etc.

+ Accompanies vendors during visits and inspections.

  • Works well with elderly dementia residents


Conducts safety meetings and attends stand-up and QAPI meetings
