Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and hands-on

Maintenance Director to oversee and manage all aspects of maintenance operations for our assisted living community and provide support to our sister property, Lantana Memory Care. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, functionality, cleanliness, and aesthetic quality of our buildings and grounds. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for maintaining a comfortable and safe environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations of the assisted living community, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical systems, and general repairs.
  
• Provide scheduled and as-needed maintenance support to Lantana Memory Care, ensuring both communities receive high-quality and timely service.
  
• Ensure that all physical aspects of the buildings and grounds are fully functional, clean, and in compliance with state, federal, and local regulations.
  
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans and safety programs.
  
• Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and emergency calls.
  
• Manage inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment needed for maintenance operations.
  
• Coordinate and supervise the work of maintenance staff and third-party vendors or contractors.
  
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, work orders, and maintenance schedules.
  
• Conduct routine inspections of the facilities to identify and address safety or maintenance concerns proactively.
  
• Participate in emergency preparedness and safety drills; ensure all systems (alarms, sprinklers, generators, etc.) are functioning properly.
  
• Collaborate with leadership teams at both communities to prioritize and complete maintenance needs efficiently and within budget.
  
• Assist with minor renovations, painting, landscaping, and snow/ice removal (as needed).
  
• Foster a positive environment that supports dignity, respect, and quality of life for all residents.
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school certification or relevant technical training preferred.
  
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in building maintenance or facility management; experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality a plus.
  
• Strong knowledge of building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety.
  
• Ability to read blueprints and maintenance manuals.
  
• Strong leadership and organizational skills; prior supervisory experience preferred.
  
• Proficient in using maintenance software, email, and digital work order systems.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks as required.
  
• Must be able to work on-call hours and respond to emergency maintenance needs outside of regular business hours.
  
• Valid driver�s license and reliable transportation required (to travel between the assisted living community and Lantana Memory Care).
