This is a position specific recruitment. The resulting list of eligible candidates will be used to fill this SHA position or function only. Nature of Work: The Maintenance Contract Supervisor provides advanced technical and senior project management work for the District 6 maintenance office for contracts. They will also be responsible for issuing, inspecting and providing technical direction for the maintenance contracts. This position supervises a staff of subordinate TET level inspectors, administration and consultant employees, and serves as the Project Engineer for all maintenance contracts.

Qualifications

------------------


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Education: Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.


Experience: Eight (8) years of experience in technical engineering related work in the areas of design, traffic, construction, materials testing, engineering surveys, maintenance, or planning.


Selective Qualifications: Four (4) years of the required experience should include highway maintenance, highway maintenance inspection, highway construction project inspection, and/or highway maintenance/construction contract administration.


Notes:


1. Applicants may substitute education in a civil engineering curriculum at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester credit hours for each year of the required experience, up to a maximum of three years.


2. Applicants who possess an associate's degree in either engineering, construction management or surveying or surveying technology from an accredited community college, college or university are considered to have met two years of the eight-year experience requirement.


Licenses & Certifications

Candidates must possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the state of Maryland.

  • Flagging Certification
