MACHINE OPERATOR SPECIALIST - ALL LEVELS OF EXPERIENCE

This is not a sit-down job - you will be active on your feet throughout your shift.

Machine Operator Specialist - Specific Duties:

Previous experience preferred in relation to operating production machinery although we are also willing to train someone with mechanical and engineering skills / interest.

Applicants must be comfortable with handling machinery in a busy food manufacturing environment, show great attention to detail and be proactive to ensure our kitchen filling and capping lines run smoothly and safely.

This role also includes the daily maintenance of established food safety control documentation relating to the kitchen packaging machinery.

Role will have a dual reporting line to Dept. Head Operations and Dept. Head Kitchen.

Specifically duties will include:

Operation and management of the following machinery - filling, capping, pumps, pouch making machine, conveyor belts and other machinery in Kitchen.

• Performing daily pre-production and end-of-day inspections and sanitation.
  
• Putting the machines together ready for the daily production operations.
  
• In-production machine operation, monitoring and troubleshooting.
  
• Keeping track of parts and wear and notifying the Maintenance Department when stock is low for reorder.
  
• Daily machine maintenance.
  
• Liaising with Maintenance Department to ensure repairs are done timely to minimize production downtime.
  

WHAT WE OFFER

• $15-$26+ an hour based on experience, comprising standard hourly rate plus $2.17 an hour as a Health Benefit Supplement for team members working 32+ hours per week (this supplement can be spent on whatever you wish if you do not need for Health Coverage purposes)

WORK SCHEDULE

• Ideally 4 - 5 days a week, starting at your favorite time between 6am - 8am, and finishing between 4pm to 6pm (depending on your start time and length of shift).
