Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Charge Nurse will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality patient care and effective management of nursing staff. This position requires a compassionate leader who can oversee patient care operations, mentor nursing staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inpatient care and be skilled in various aspects of nursing, including medication administration and case management.


Responsibilities


  • Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Conduct health assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients.
  • Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects or adverse reactions.
  • Provide health coaching to patients and their families to promote wellness and recovery.
  • Oversee hospice care services, ensuring comfort and dignity for patients at the end of life.
  • Manage cases effectively, collaborating with social workers and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards of practice.
  • Facilitate communication between patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Support the training and development of nursing staff through mentorship and guidance.


Requirements


  • Current nursing license (RN) in the state of practice.
  • Proven experience in inpatient settings; experience in hospice care is preferred.
  • Strong skills in medication administration, case management, and health coaching.
  • Knowledge of internal medicine practices is advantageous.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
