Job Title: Lot Technician - Oregon Trailers - Scappoose, OR.

We have three locations: Coburg, Scappoose, and Terrebonne. We are a small team of people who work together to get things done! While we do have specialized roles, everyone does a bit of everything. Job Summary: Maintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, and organization of the trailer dealership, including the trailers and the lot. Receive and safely unload trailers being delivered, including checking the details of necessary paperwork and resolving concerns.


Essential Functions


  • Unload trailers and parts from freight trucks and deliveries. Arrange them for display or storage, as applicable.
  • Assemble trailer components, adding tires, toolboxes, and jacks when needed.
  • Test trailer systems to ensure proper operation, resolve systems that do not work escalating to Service Technician, when necessary, based on complexity of the malfunction. This includes test driving the trailers by pulling behind company truck.
  • Wash trailers to ensure great appearance for customers.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized appearance of the lot. This includes snow removal and landscaping.
  • Support the customers� trailer purchase experience through assisting with hook up of trailer to hitch and testing systems. Teaching safe practices.
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements while performing work.

Working Conditions


  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and overtime, as needed.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions on retail trailer lots.
  • Ability to regularly bend, stoop, twist, and lift while completing repairs and connecting trailers to vehicles.
  • Must wear personal protective equipment where require.


Qualifications and Requirements


  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent demonstrated skills and experience required.
  • Attention to detail to keep trailer lot tidy and well organized.
  • Mechanical aptitude to test systems and complete basic repairs.
  • Must have valid driver�s license and good driving record in order to drive company owned vehicles for testing of trailer systems.
  • Ability to work independently and in small teams, good communication skills (both written and verbal), and attention to detail are essential.
  • Highly motivated.
